DANCIN' IN THE STREET 2007
SUNDAY AUGUST 26th
12 Noon - 10pm.
Clifton Blvd. between W117th and W116th.
Thanks to the efforts of community members, Dancin’ in the Streets will return for its 23rd year. Recognizing that the spread of AIDS continues to impact our region, this group of volunteers has stepped up to continue this day of fun and fundraising.
Though not an official AIDS Taskforce event, all proceeds from Dancin’ in the Streets still benefit the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland, Northeast Ohio’s largest provider of HIV/AIDS prevention, education, treatment and advocacy.
The street will be blocked off, there will be plenty of dancing, and there will be VENDORS, INFORMATION, DRINKS & MORE. (Yes, beer trucks and liquor are allowed in the streets for this). This features a tight sound system, it's outdoors, and a lot of fun.
Advance admission is $20, and the day of the event it is $25.
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO BENEFIT THE AIDS TASK FORCE OF GREATER CLEVELAND.
Advance Sale Tickets now on sale at Twist, Club Cleveland, Body Language and AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland. Also available at Kitsch City now open located at 6511 Detroit Avenue in Cleveland.

This event originated in Downtown Cleveland (I believe on w9th outside Detour) many many years ago. As it was explained to me, this was an event started in response to a popular community member's need for financial support in his struggle with "this new thing" called AIDS. 2004 was the last year that Aids Task Force hosted the event, and it was to be the last year for it, but for the past three years, community members got together to revive the event and raise money for the AIDS Task force and take it back to its roots..
