I thought the show had a great turnout, I haven't seen Mercury that packed in a long time.

Now for the music; I enjoyed his set until the end when he played 80's. I heard some tracks that I have never heard from him. This show was a lot more drum and bass than the last...but all in all I think I liked last time he came to Mercury.

Any opinions on this????

I was running around all night that unfortunately got to listen to only the first 30 minutes or so continuously...the rest I just remember hearing one or two things that stuck out hear and there. Really enjoyed hearing a ton of familiar synthlines from 80's/early 90's tunes. It was fun though. Laughing

I thought that this show was great for a place like Mercury Lounge...he had the perfect amount of D&B, Electro, Punk, Synth and Epic stuff all fluidly mixed up in the set for the average listener to enjoy...we must remember that Mercury Lounge is not a venue that John B. would come to and completely rinse it out. The clientale there just wouldnt be down with that...In that respect I believe this show was terrific...don't you Smile_

B Cool

Just wanted to say that John B killed it last night. I thought his performance was electrifying. Here's some shots from the show for you guys.

I remember when I first started DJing, I entertained the idea of dressing up like a circus clown too...

lol

Yes its an intersting look...personally my "style" is always changing. I guess you can call it..."progressive".
Two Cents

John B's persona is that of a cartoon. Definately lives for the moment. Very cool.

Oh, it's all in jest. Calm down, John B. Fan Club President. (That was in jest, too. Put away the rifle.)

Though I would think that putting on makeup and doing up my hair in full anime style would draw more accusations of "self-inflated ego having." But I don't know John B., so I would hardly accuse him of having an ego. In fact, I applaud him for having the balls to dress so boldly. But you have to admit, it's somewhat unusual. And I thought the Dragonball Z cartoon was a spitting image.

But what do I know, I'm an old clown...
