30 bucks would be tops for me I think

But if I'm impressed I might be willing to drop the cash Razz

however, if your initial thoughts are that it isn't, i'm sure there are many who would feel the same way, which makes me nervous to do this sort of thing in cleveland.

I think asking for $40 or more for any EDM event in Cleveland is risky.

Most of the boat parties I've seen or been to were slightly pricey events ($20-$40 range)-- and with few headliners, but well worth it. I went to a few in the 90's in San Fran--I'll never forget going around Alcatraz at night in that renegade-ass boat, while Carlos was throwing down. One of the coolest memories I have. I've been wanting someone to do it here in Cleveland for a long time.

I don't know if this is feasible or just an insanely stupid idea, but I wonder if people would be willing to buy tickets with the impression that the party will only happen if You acquire enough people and/or money. Getting Folks to trust You with thier cash would be the hard part, but I got forty bucks for Ya man.

I wouldn't be willing to pay too much- the big reason is that its just 3 hours. $25-30 for 3 hours sounds nice- anything more and I'd start to cringe.

Other things to take into consideration are that the Goodtime III is an open boat- no windows or anything to hide in if it starts to rain- and you lose the top deck. That being said, you lose the top deck on the Nautica Queen and the other large boat (I forget the name right now, but its chartered all the damn time- last time we went out on the lake it was holding up Cleveland Rocks). The Nautica and the other boat are enclosed.

Goodtime III would be great on a nice summer evening.

Damn i need to install a cd player on my dad's boat Very Happy

Also I don't know if this is important, but you might want to take into consideration where they're docked. The Nautica Queen is docked on the Cuyahoga near the west bank/powerhouse area. The Goodtime is docked across from the Mather in the inner harbor just in front of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I don't know where the other boat is docked.

It would be sweet as hell to bump up and down the cuyahoga river- putting all the dying clubs in the flats to shame Wink

ok, this is starting to look better. couple questions:

1. would you come out on a sunday evening? (dates are almost all filled)

2. would you rather pay more and have an open bar, or less up front with a cash bar.

3. if the price was $35, the cruise was on a sunday evening with a national dj, and then there was an after party at a club with free admit and a drink pass, would this be fair?

$35 would definitely be worth it if ya ask me. personally, I’d rather have it be more money and have an open bar, but that’s just me. Sunday eve sounds nice…..just requires a vacation day that Monday Smile

1. I would come out on a Sunday but would prefer Saturday if there was an after party
2. less up front w/ a cash bar (Radin don't worry, we can pre-party at my house)
3. yes

yeah, not sure what day it will be, but as of now, sundays (even though they are very limited and saturdays are seemingly unavailable at the moment) are looking better.

i think this is going to happen and it should be relatively inexpensive.

any requests for djs (within reason)?

a tech house djs would be nice, but this thing is going to be opened up to as many people i know - and they're not all into that genre. i'd like to get somebody who can mix it up - like Q. we'll see . . .

If Jamie's paying sure to anything---j.k, Jamie!

This is one instance where I can say I could care less about the music---I love boats! I'd pay to go out on the water and opera, or elevator music, or a banjo---who cares!
