hey all-

up late, can't sleep, thought i'd say what's up. i've been hearing really good things about cleveland shows/events since i've been gone w/ the band. we've been out since june 8th, and we don't get home until the july 25th. the road is amazing, beautiful, and insane all at the same time.

anyway, if anybody is still up and wants to give me some reading material, why don't you drop some knowledge on me? what's been your favorite edm-related show/event/moment/whathaveyou of the summer so far? i haven't been around (obviously) for most of them, so fill me in!

i'll see you all soon, and keep the good lookin' going.

dan.

Greenskeepers at Wish and Colette at Cloud 9 were my favorite shows so far this summer. Greenskeepers was fun, goofy and super-musical. Colette blew my mind as well--she's a great talent and it's always good to hear her sing.

it wasn't cleveland, but misstress barbara tearing detroit a new asshole at tronic treatment is my recent highlight. and the rest of the djs at tronic treatment weren't too shabby either.

misstress barbara

and the ghettotabulous venue!!!

the sound (mind you this room was probably the size of the grog shop)

I gotta agree with trouty...although I dug Adam Beyer and Marco Carola's five hours of madness a bit more then Mistress Barbara...Tronic Treatment was the absolute shit.

Ghettofabulous unused office building venue + some of the best techno DJ's in the world + rediculous amounts of sound in small rooms = one badass party!

greenskeepers at wish were awesome, curd's house set afterwards was dope. i kinda freaked when logistics dropped 'racing green' cuz it's one of my favorite tracks ever.

and not to mention three@sanctuary and fortier@sanctuary. those were okay too.

We all need a change of pace every now in then! Besides I get sick & tired of the usual spoiled scene! I like it when people just want to party!

I'm confused right now...WTF is a Crackonian?

Someone from Crackonia?

Where the hell is that and why would they visit Cleveland from there?

Sending Greenskeepers off to the airport (at 5am?) outside Wish.

4th of July BBQ at Twist.

The bizarre afterhours parties recently...especially the one that Darrell Sound and I spun at after Jokenfold.

Ladies Night at 2527. Candice, Cara, and Boompsie tore it up like no man can.

I still haven't heard a word from Chris Pulse, Dave Meadows, or Maribeth.
None of the above has contacted me since Ladies Night.

Yeah....I was waaay too sober for that one! Everyone think of those controversial adds that Calvin Klein was passing for fashion circa 1998 and you might have a fraction of a clue of what it was actually like!
Shocked

That pretty much sums it up. Dirty. Bad, dirty carpeting. Dirty wood panelling. Really hot and humid. Smelled like cat piss. Dirty.
