Most any of the things people have in their signatures would work...

"insert witty slogan here" would be most fitting of the humor on this board.

That's another thing I was thinking.
A couple of well chosen emoticons and the domain name.

Heh.

I was actually thinking of quite the opposite... "It's all about the party.

I disagree. Carl sait it well. It is definitely about the music.

The party is tertiary. Most people can take it or leave it...

but without the music, you have nada, zilch, zip, zed, zero.

But moda trademarked the phrase "It's all about the music". Nitty Gritty used "It's all about the party" to counter it, so that was actually not good thinking on my part.

I've *ALWAYS* said that when you let the customers start dictating what gets played, your club goes downhill. That is a fine line to walk, and in it works on either extreme.

Maybe the reason I reacted so quickly to this, was because of Moda's slogan. I guess I'll never be happy :/

I'm still with the idea like filly suggested.

How about:

bored yet?

Oh, my apologies... I never paid any attention to MODA.
Never been there... and never even knew they had a slogan.

I like that one and most of the Bushwik contributions.

I can't find Filly's post... what did he suggest?

The two that caught me the most were: Spin it how you like, and Your here... not in Miami. Sometimes I think Spun how you like is more appropriate.

The Miami comment, as much as it says one thing that is on my mind (that we should concentrate on building Cleveland's OWN identity) it also supports the naysayers who say "This is Cleveland... it won't work".

So my creative input is:

What are you doing tonight (today)?

Most of those were just my lame attempts at humor... and I had to get that awful Scene Magazine article out of my system somehow.

Tonight would be more appropriate than Today or (today)...since it is ClevelandNIGHTlife...

Very Happy

I was thinking of the double meaning of SPIN, as in:

1) having to do with vinyl records

2) having to do with words. As in, putting your spin on a topic... how you see things.
SPIN - a distinctive interpretation (especially as used by politicians to sway public opinion); "the campaign put a favorable spin on the story"

Yeah, that's what I thought of as well for the double meaning. Like I said, sometimes I think Spun how you like would also be appropriate.

How 'bout someone compiles a list of ALL of the ideas listed. We'll list them a) b) c) etc.

People can choose their favorite three or four.

Then we'll make a weeklong(?) poll with the top four or five or whatever, and put it in the main forum.

That should move things along quickly.

Good idea?

Yeah, that's what I thought of as well for the double meaning. Like I said, sometimes I think Spun how you like would also be appropriate.

...but SPUN has that negative connotation as well... the movie... meaning fucked up... on heroin I beleive. That's not a good thing.
