it is a DJ set. i was very excided about this untill i found that out. im sure they will drop some good plates, but thats nothing compared to their live PAs.

Honestly I've seen both their DJ set and their live set twice and I think that their DJ set was FAR more exciting. All they do in their live set is stand around, press some buttons, drink beer and pretend they're rockstars -and let's face it their production fell off after "Vegas." But their DJ set is hella good!! I heard them in DC in 2002 and they threw down all kinds of sick tracks, blew up the main room like I'd never seen and their mixing was solid, from what I heard. I'm actually looking foward to seeing them spin again in DC in May. Hopefully they'll do as well in Cleveland. Iunno about $20 for tix though. Depends on whether anyone else decent is on the bill with them.

i dont know if there's anyone with them. there's a dave mathews tribute band playing before them and that show starts at 9pm. the doors for CM open at 11pm and the show starts at 12am.

The only show I'm basing my opinion on is the one they did at nautica something like 3 years ago that was horrid, at least from a mixing standpoint. the only track I remember was a michael jackson remix that I hated. perhaps I just saw them on a REALLY off night.

they were so horrible at scene pavilion. i couldn't even stay it was such a bad show.

they do have an opener - look at their two page ad in scene magazine.

I saw them at the Scene Pav. and I remember one of the guys flipping out and throwing his headphones down really pissed off, because a record was in the process of peaking during a sick track, but he bumped the table and the record skipped horribly. It was the worst time in the whole night that the table could have been bumped, and so he pretty much flipped out. I was taken back a bit, I guess I would have been pissed a bit as well, but he fuckin lost it

The tracks they threw down were tight that night though, and I do believe they have records that others just can not get. They are fun to see live though, the remixing of their old stuff is fun to hear live.

Where can I find confirmation that Evil Nine is going to be at this show? I can't find anything naming them on the Ticketmaster, HOB, or TCM websites. If they're truly going to be there, I'm going to the show for sure, but I don't wanna waste 50 bucks for me and a friend to go see TCM spin records when I can hear better mixing from local DJs...

Thanks. I usually browse the Scene mag for upcoming shows, but haven't ever noticed Evil Nine in there. Oh, well. Thanks again for the info - should be a great show!
