Of course, this is in cooperation with a much bigger thing going on that weekend, NOTACON, which I'm speaking at on Friday evening. I'll stop with the shameless plugging now. :-)

I'm more than excited about this. Technoir rocks, and the Notcaon atmosphere should be very interesting indeed.

Technoir totally ROCKS!! I'm going to try to hi-tail it over there after Halo. Glad to see them back in Cleveland.

By the way, does anyone know where this event is going to be held at?

Memory (mem*o*ry) noun., 1. The ability of the mind, an individual, or organism to retain learned information and knowledge of past events and experiences coupled with the capacity to retrieve that information. 2. Retained impression of a particular event, the knowledge or impression that somebody retains of a particular person, event, period, or subject. (Webster’s New World Dictionary 1991 edition p.846)

The common thread linking all past Midnight Mixer productions has been memory through sound and with sound. For our 8th event “Sequential Circus”, the Midnight Mixer crew has enlisted the talents of T.F.L. Sound Systems Inc. to provide the sonic experience everyone will remember. The brainchild of Matt Loretitsch and Scott Zietlow, T.F.L. was created 3 years ago with the hopes of exploring the full frequencies of BASS. The T.F.L. sound crew prides itself on their handmade custom-built bass cabinets to further their philosophy of quality and precision. Midnight Mixer is anxiously anticipating the unveiling of another unique T.F.L. Sound System installation no one in attendance will soon forget.

Technoir Audio Q&A

How long has Technoir Audio been?

technoirs been together for about 3 or 4 years now it our current
form. its always changing though, we have 7 releases out to date. 6
vinyl eps. and one full length cd album.

Any confusion/tension collaborating?

no. not at all really.. we all have our own studios so there’s usually always enough time to do your own things as well.

The collective in the near future?

id like to see all of us make it overseas. but multiple flights and hotels cost a bundle.. plus its also scheduling time off from everyone’s jobs and getting people to book technoir as a collective.. its like booking a band.

Next piece of gear?

production will never ever be stress free. the more complicated
machines become, the less likely they are to work on a regular basis!
I like things that are effective at one thing really.. so its kinda
hard these days to find something thats really good at one things and
not trying to doo 30000 other things

Key influence?

for others i cant really say.. for myself.. cevin key from skinny puppy, keith lablanc from tackhead/sugarhill gang, derrick may, stacy pullen and carl craig, depeche mode and new order, portishead, kraftwerk,... there’s so many people i can name that have influenced me.

Where can people purchase your music

we don't sell anything from our site, believe it or not. we
sell all of our stuff through distributors. the best place on the net
to get our stuff is probably at www.submerge.com. they are the best
really. or www.planetxusa.com all of our releases can be listened to on our site www.technoiraudio.com
