Chris Burnside (teh see burnslide on here), pivotal local Dub promoter, prolific writer, friend to all he met, has passed away much too soon.

my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Long May You Run,
Long May You Run.

Im so thankful that I was able to spend as much time as I did with him. He was on the most unfunny, yet hillarious, people I know. Chris helped me sooo much with SUBMERGED/SUBFIX, for that I will be forever greatful. Also, I will be forever greatful for the list of things that he taught me not only about myself, but the world in general. It still doesnt seem real. One of the greatest people I will ever know.

One of the only people I know that could comprehend "it".
At least now he knows all about "it".
Now all I can do is chase what he already knows.
Because he does not have to wonder anymore.

I can play out conversations we had yet to have and I already miss things that had yet to happen. See you again buddy, eventually.

serious *sniff*

that's a good post paul. he definitely did and i'll miss future conversations with him as well.

we chatted for a couple minutes at winter warmup. could have bet the farm on that it wouldn't be the last.

that shit about 'better tell people they're awesome because it might be the last time you do' is too morbidly fucking true

I met Chris when Dom and I used to dj at Fat Fish Blue. He always had interesting things to say and was always kind. He will be missed.

like a lot of things Chris and I talked about, this is impossible to put into a few sentences. He was one of the rare few people who were able to carry one's adolescence into adulthood, always critically thinking and questioning what we know . Adolescence brings about thoughts like, young, confused, and descriptions like inexperienced, on the contrary, adolescence is that spark in a person that makes them question what they perceive to be true, and what has been presented by past generations as true knowledge. Chris was an epistemologist, one of those who had that spark, and he had a proton collider powered noggin to drive it. He was a super guy and will be greatly missed. Now he knows.
