i highly persuade those to take a significant other there!

Where is the Westlake one? I know there's a new one in Bay, perhaps that's where you're talking about? It's near the Westlake/Bay border so it's easy to confuse.

Either way I drive past it everyday and often wonder what it's like. Looks like I'll have to give them a try!

Purely by chance stumbled across this "gem" (the East side location) on a Friday night and as I entered it was literally PACKED with Italian people in the 300 lb. + range...
I took one look at the friend that I was with and said, "We are NOT leaving until we have had dinner here!" Have been back often since the initial visit; it was fantastic and I will now investigate the West side location. Everything was first rate from start to finish and I would go as far to say that it is some of the BEST Italian I have ever had out, a cuisine that I am not inclined to venture out for as it can be so simply prepared at home. Far superior to anything that I have experienced on that vastly overrated strip of joints ( you know the location...)

By all means go and note that they have early-bird specials that are just as reasonable price wise and filling as well. Wink

I think the one on the east side has a great atmosphere, but the help is sub-par as well as the food.

Maybe it's just what I had. What did you have there that was so great?

i have noticed sub-par help at most italian places that are more family style. mama santas in little italy is a perfect example...let them know when ordering or when they bring the food otherwise you wont be seeing them again Smile

Here is a link to the website:

While we could debate what is "best" - it is so subjective that I believe you will see that there is plenty to explore here. How one approaches the waitstaff certainly can contribute to how one is treated in return...

I almost always order out anything that I would not be inclined to prepare at home. Seems to serve my needs best.

Enjoy your meal!

D Steve
