holy shit, this place rocks...just opened last weekend....check it out:

MELT Bar and Grilled; Not your average restaurant, this hot new oasis of Asiago features gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches likely to rival any concoction you’ve put together in your kitchen. Forget the Kraft singles, at MELT prepare your palate for a Colby creation not to be forgotten, a scrumptious smoked Gouda that will make your mouth water, and cheddar cheese so grand it will have you ordering thirds before you’ve finished your first. Cleveland’s favorite rock n’ roll drummer, Matt Fish, has traded in his drum sticks for spatula’s and he’s all ready to twist, shake, flip, and fry a beloved sandwich standard and take it to unimaginable new heights.

Melt located at 14718 Detroit Ave, welcomes both Westsiders and Eastsiders to the heart of Lakewood to drink your desired beer, share an appetizer with your buddy, and have one of the many grilled cheese sandwiches on the menu!



also, this joint has over 100 different beers...easily the best selection in all of Cleveland by a longshot...Nosferatu & Dogfish Head 60min IPA on tap, and a HUGE selection of domestic micro/craft brews...the food rocks, there's a nice HD flat screen for games (although this is hardly anywhere near a sports bar), and the layout is tight. super clean and well designed. i seriously haven't been impressed with a bar here since NYC. The bar manager is from Cleveland, yet has New York experience - a combination that this area, quite frankly, has been missing!!

Check it out, you will not be disappointed!

Went to melt for dinner last night around 7...had to wait ten min. for a table. The food was well worth it though (the smoky russian is yummy!) as was the beer. The fresh fries and slaw are a treat as well. highly recommended, just not on a weekend night.

They still have Christmas Ale on draft. Pair that with a sandwich and you'll be a happy fellow. I think I have ate there once a week for the past month and have yet to get a bad meal or service.

It is a small place though, so if you even think it's going to be busy be prepared to wait 15-40 minutes.

i go probably about twice a month i always get the wake and bacon,seriously if i was on death row it would be my final meal...its that good great beer selection reasonable prices and the friendly staff more then make up for the fact that if you are there after five or on the weekend there is going to be a wait for a table but hell its worth it
