Definately a fun night...thanks to Jassen and crew and the notacon folks for putting this on. It was great to get to hear the records I play on a big system, even though my set was a bunch of drunken silliness (thanks to room 522? and the cup full of jameson for that...yeah I finished it all jim Smile )

Room 522 indeed; the NYC 2600 crew throws a decent party. :-)

I heard some of the Jameson was spilled. ;-D

The dance floor really warmed up right when Jamie went on. I think Avalon broke the ice during Meghan's set and then everyone joined in. How did that feel Jamie???

The only bummer was we had to end at 5:00am and cut off the last performer (who was none too happy as you might imagine). We were given the option of either stopping ourselves at 5:00am or having the hotel shut us down when the security guard who was heard telling people to "get out of the hallways and go down to the rave" went off duty. Some little things added up...An alcohol-fueled-out-of-control party in room 522, a dropped glass bottle in front of the elevators, the fog machine setting off the smoke alarm at the beginning of the night - we were warned Smile and thanks to Suburban and Mo for handling the fire alarm in style keeping the music going where some people probably thought it was a whistle track Wink - and a dude climbing way to high in a tree that was not meant for climbin'.

What did you think of the subwoofer stack? It was taller than some of the girls dancing with glowsticks! The bottom cabinets provided "long throw" thump and the top box gave short throw bump.

I listened to most of the recording made during the night and "thumbs up"...It came out clean and with a little editing will be a playlist keeper.

Cleveland showed Technoir Audio a good face from their first time here with Plate Tectonics and then again last Saturday. Should we investigate ways to dig a tunnel to reduce the drive time from the Iron City?

All in all we feel it was our best looking and sounding event...Thanks to the Midnight Mixer team, the performers, and the audience for making it happen.

Pictures and mp3s will be posted later this week...

Ramzi
PS- extra special thanks to Froggy, Jodie, and the Notacon crew for giving us the chance to bring the beats "all night".

As I said, I felt like I lucked out Smile T'was fun for me to see that people actually were getting down to what I was dropping, for whatever reason.

One just can't simply stand when Meghan or Jamie drop a good hard techno set...how often does a girl get to hear one of those nowadays. (Hopefully MUCH more often now!)

I was very surprised (pleasantly) by the entire evening, had a great time. Yes...thanks to Ramzi and Froggy and all the DJ's and room 522 for the Jameson they loaned and I happily passed on to Jamie. (LOL.)

You know, I suppose being shut down at 5 was kind of crappy...but all in all...it held together rather well!

Major props to you Ramzi for dealing with any stress shenagigans may have caused you...you never let on if any did.

Agreed! Jamie said luck but I say "buildup" by Meghan and the 3:00am after-hours surge.

Technoir was groovin and thought provokin but Meghan dropped the hypnotic repetative beats that set the mood for bouncin and dancin. Meghan teed it up and Jamie hit it home.

t3 cleared the room Wink Someone had to do it!

I'll buy that...meghan did a great job in front of me, and the influx of people finished the job...I just had to play a few amusing records to seal the deal. Smile
