I do think it's really good - simply based on graphics alone. It's not cheesy cartoony graphics like warcraft 3 - but a serious visual improvement on SC1. Multiplayer has the same kind of play/feel but has some unit/structure adjustments that will definitely take a little bit to get used to. The flip side of this is that it provides something new and exciting to the experienced SC1 player wondering "Why should I buy?"

I was super skeptical about the Battle.net-only multiplayer thinking it would be run by koreans but the ladder system is pretty cool as are the people I've played with. Most have been very friendly/helpful actually.

So...in closing...GET IT. Let's get a little CNL gang going and take on the world!

Still debating this one. Really enjoy the CONCEPT of RTS games, but a lot just get to overwhelming for me, personally.

I played through the warhammer series over the winter, even starting from nothing, it's pretty quick action. Unfortunately, no one plays online anymore.

Think I'll wait to see more online strategies develop to see how involving it is.

The Terran goes for a tech to Siege Tanks and Thors while getting some Marines for early defense and Hellions to shield his tanks. He adds a couple Ravens for detecting Observers, to act as a spotter for his Siege Tanks so he can see up cliffs, and for their great abilities such as Auto Turret and Point Defense Drone. The Protoss gets a ground army of Immortals, Stalkers, Zealots and Sentires. The big battle at the end shows that even with Immortals, Terran Mech armies are very hard for Protoss to deal with. The Protoss should have scouted and seen the Terran going for Mech and pushed on him before he got more than a couple Siege Tanks or he should have gone straight for air units.

Ummmmm...yeah....I think I'm cool on all of that.

this game is solid. the campaign is awesome, really loved how they allowed you to research outside of the missions. as a console gamer, the achievement system appeals to me as well.
i played with Brandon a week or so ago and realized what a n00b i am lol going to put some work in and improve cuz i think im gonna be on this game for a minute Smile

edit - username = kingjones

Managed to get quite a bit better at this. I've even won a few online games, albeit, bronze league. I'm snuffing out cheese left and right though, and my build order into the terran triple M strategy is getting better and better.

Haven't played enough against the zerg yet.
