Me can move to a reactive perspective instead of proactive - do away with validation. In turn, lock (or continue to invalidate) threads that aren't properly formatted.

How could anyone change/edit/fix a post that's locked, though?

I think the originator and the moderators could edit it, maybe not.

Boo. Could we just try a trial run of NO VALIDATION and take note of how many infractions of the guidelines there are in a given period of time and then make a final decision based on that outcome? I think it has been enough of a nuasance to promoters that they probably would be willing to double check their posts for accuracy, price inclusion, and title formatting.

What if we locked posts that were not correct and then they would have to repost a correct version and we delete the old one, so at least the titles of the incorrect ones would be visible? That's less button pushing on our end. And again, if that doesn't work out, then we could go back to VALIDATION.

There has to be an acceptable solution to every problem.
