DESIGNER DRUGS - IHEARTCOMIX [NYC]
http://www.myspace.com/designerdrugsclubmusic

Designer Drugs (Michael Vincent Patrick and Theodore Paul Nelson) lead lifestyles of the rich and famous, but are really just poor boys who love helicopters and pop banger music…and a few other things that will not be noted. Currently, Designer Drugs is releasing new material with Iheartcomix Records. They’ve also been found partying on the couch at the Iheartcomix office.

With one member attending med school and the other drinking whiskey across the globe, to keep from going crazy last year - the DD boys produced over 23 remixes and DJ’d over 100 shows around the world. This year, to keep from going crazy, Designer Drugs is putting the focus on original material while continuing to tour the galaxy and party harder than ever.

Designer Drugs released their single “ZOMBIES! / Back Up In This” on Iheartcomix Records with Remixes by Nadastrom, Don Rimini, Le Castle Vania and Bird Peterson. Designer Drugs has also completed remixes for labels such as Kitsune, Dim Mak, Fools Gold, Warner Brothers, Ministry Of Sound, Hail Social, Iamsound, Etc Etc, Coco Machette and Calamity Jane for artists such as Little Boots, The Veronicas, Thieves Like Us, Treasure Fingers, Mariah Carey, Jupiter One, Heart’s Revolution, Mission Control, Hail Social, and IAMX.

Both members of Designer Drugs are mentally controlled by ELLE REX (www.ellerex.net), photographer of NYC’s sleaziest and most entertaining electro party - RUFF CLUB. You can find her tagging along to shows, documenting the debauchery that ensues when DD takes the decks. What will happen next? You haven’t partied until you’ve partied with Designer Drugs!

DIGIRAATII - JETBLACK EMPIRE [CLEVELAND]
http://www.myspace.com/digiraatii

With a name reminiscent of a speech-impaired child attempting to spell out a term revered only for digitally-inclined VIPs and socialites, DIGIRAATII has a sound as grimy and harsh as the snow currently covering Ohio. DIGIRAATII's goal is simple -- to get you fucking moving. They take those heavy-synths you know like the back of your hand, filter them through multi-decade measures and hooks, then warp the product into a pretty little package and top it off with a few glitters stolen from a back-alley discotheque. Wash, rinse, repeat and you have yourself one of Ohio's premier club acts. (Only don't wash or rinse. That gets rid of the necessary grunge.)

They came into this scene like a rhinoceros in a jewelry shop -- clad in leather and bringing enough class to make the Midwest shine. Members JJ XXI, ZEEK WHIZ, and ZUCCO have swagga like dat, making Lil' Wayne look like a man with a Napoleon complex. Generously dishing out body-rocking bass, DIGIRAATII has triple-handedly breathed life into a previously dying art form. And just in time to save us from the zombified bodies of 90's club kids, here comes DIGIRAATII dressed in black and casting a much need smirk. (and a handful of strobes for effect)

Simply put, their performances know no bounds. And it's quite clear they have no desire to set any limits in the near future. They've sampled lyrics from Freda Payne and Michael Jackson, wondrously spewing synthesized gold from their Macs. Their energy as a group is shared by those in the crowd, no matter how out of breath we may be. But it's OK, we'll go smoke a cigarette, throw back a shot, come back and won't have missed a beat. Combine this ideology with their club banger of a remix, "Heads Will Roll" (by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) quickly climbing the charts, and the party they bring doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon.

EVASION - B.A.D. ASS. / NU RIOT [CLEVELAND] "HAPPY B-DAY"
http://www.myspace.com/theevasion

Eric Weinert better known as DJ Evasion has become a household name among E.D.M. fans in the Midwest area. Growing up in Ohio and only being old enough to catch the tail end of the Ohio's striving "rave" scene, Evasion was driven to keep his music alive. He began aggressively promoting his DJ set and when the scene failed he rose to the top by taking matters into his own hands. He started planning and promoting his own events hosting national talent of all varieties. While doing so, he was able to take the stage alongside these greats and expand his fan base by creating a name for himself as being an electrifying DJ who keeps a dance floor packed. Weather he is spinning at a mega club or a dark dirty rave you can expect nothing less than one sensational performance that is sure to please.

I just saw the flyer and although it looks very crispy, I'm pretty disappointed. Can anyone say Rave Act??? Besides from being illegal, this type of promotion doesn't help dissolve the negative stereotypes that our sub-culture is plagued with. Nice work guys.

Well your headliner is already named "Designer Drugs" I don't think adding "let's get high" really makes it any worse!

Stout's been using the name StoutXTC for years...by this logic, he killed the rave scene just by getting booked at parties. Good job Stouty!!

Don't be wrapping me up with this analogy! Besides the rave scene was done by the time that I got any status as a dj...

and yeah I know...
