it's a fairy. there's a difference.

not that i am into ink(at least on my body) but its nice.

is that a pic of you & your tat for real?

that's not me or my tat but it is real. not Sarah's work either.

here's a picture of the one i got from her

and the original Derek Hess piece for comparison

methinks someone should start an ink thread elsewhere

I don't care for it much. Had crappy service unless I was with a friend of the servers. The hell? Too cramped and crowded. Food was meh... not so much.

I guess this place was started by people who left J. Mango's on Bridge and a bunch of the staff followed. I still prefer Mango's world food to this place.

wow ^. you're like the first and only person I've heard had a bad experience there. Of course, it's crowded - but that's a good thing with restaurants. Wink And the service is fine. You need to give it another try...

As for the food, it rocks. Try something else...they have a brilliant Sunday brunch. And the beer selection is still unparalled in Cleveland. If I still lived in Lkwd I'd be fuckin' broke from that joint.

Just opened on Friday. Much more room now, benches for waiting, a to-go stand...nice.

I'm with Derek on this one. Not impressed. Finally made it all the way over to the west side (LOL) for the first time in ages, and stopped in for a bite. My meal was totally disgusting.

First, my mojito was mostly lime juice. I tried the lavender mojito, and it was great in concept but really poor in execution.

We shared the spinach dip. Gross. Filled with so much cayenne pepper and seasoning one could taste neither the spinach nor the cheese. It was like a coarse paste. And the even more coarse yellow corn chips were coated in so much black pepper they almost gave the spice in the dip a run for its money.

And my dinner was disgusting. Although I'm probably to blame for not indulging in a sandwich which is clearly the restaurant's focus, I was trying to be reasonably good, and got the caesar salad with chicken instead of a melt. (Which by the way, comes with a soft-centered fried egg slapped on top. UGH.) The chicken was so blackened and tasted so revolting, my stomach literally lurched when I bit into it. So I scraped off the chicken and suffered through the rest of the soggy salad. The egg was like crispy rubber.

Dave likes blackened meat, so he tried the chicken, and even he couldn't stand it it was so bad. When our server came by, Dave tried as constructively as he could say that the chicken was unacceptable. When she returned with our check, no charges were removed. Bad, bad business.

We won't be back.

Matt, Jerome & co. are going to be on the unbelievably annoying Diners, Dives & Drive Ins show on Foodnetwork with that TGIFriday's asshole with the blond spiked hair (you lash out against conformity, you!!!!). I'm not sure who I would put down first, that cheese dick, Rachel Ray or Alton Brown. Seriously, can anyone watch that guy for longer than 3.2 seconds before wanting to throw heavy objects through their LCD? Oh yeah, and that smug, arrogant choad of an excuse for a human being that ripped off the old Bourdain show...what's his fuck...the bald douche who eats intestines and hearts and bugs.. I FUCKING HATE THAT GUY!!!!

But I digress...I was going to say it's cool Melt is still getting pub this far into it...and national publicity at that. Nice. Dude deserves it.

It's one of the saving graces and a definite high mark for Cleveland, to be sure. I'm already daydreaming of how many different joints I can score in a 10 day period.

West Coast = dudes need to collectively grow some nuts and just stfu already and eat some pork chops and a burger, wtf. And another thing: dudes don't know how to handle their liquor out here. It's quite sad, really....because there are a shit ton of microbrews here, yet people can't hang with the Midwestern/East coast folk at all.

Shocked knowing Clevelanders, it won't be the Godfather. To my dismay, I missed that joint, only having been in town twice so far this year.

3rd time = Christmas Ale & Two Hearted diet.

but, the one sandwich was amazing
