I passed Bodega by for a good while. I finally decided to satiate my curiosity, and check it out. I walked in and was immediately impressed w/ the decor. I didn't get the whole light on wine, stored right side up, but the whole look was tastefully done. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised of the polite and friendly demeanor of the bartender. It was so refreshing, coming from sushi rock (only b/c it was half off, Pacific East blows them out of the water), where you can cut the pretension with a knife. Wannabe hollywoods, who think Nordstrom is the new black. I didn't eat there, but I read half the novel on martinis they were prepared to make, while sipping a delicious draught (which slips my mind, b/c I was popping xanax).
Positives: Staff was very friendly (Kara), large martini selection, large beer selection, great aesthetics, and no popped collars. Negatives: no dj, and I think the staff's uniforms could be more hip. Nonetheless, I will be back.
Sex and the City Party, haha, minus the middle aged whores.
