4 stars imo. If you are in New York, or come here on vacation or whatever, spend the money and treat yourself to the next level of win.

Wine list is beyond out-of-control, and the food, decor and service are all excellent. Another massive win for Bobby.

I've found that people either love or hate Bobby Flay as a celebrity. I like him and want to taste his food! Did someone say spicy? Did I hear the word 'shrimp'? Headbang

he's an arrogant, cocky bastard, who pretty much does only one thing well (most chefs are like that anyways), and that's work the grill/southwestern styley. I laugh my ass off when Bourdain rips on him, and sometimes he can be irritating, but all that shit melts away when you eat at one of his restaurants or make his recipes at home. I've got 2 or 3 of his cookbooks, and have been making shit from those plus countless online recipes from the foodnetwork website for about 8 years or so [by now, I'm a damn good cook and can't be bothered to tolerate shitty food anymore Wink ], and the dude is pretty much 100% in the category that matters most - how does the food taste?

A lot of that shit is pretty simple too...as long as you are willing to invest a bit of money on fresh ingredients and a bit of time in the kitchen, you can really surprise yourself and others making his stuff...

Bolo was his best imo, but it just closed this past year.
